Legal Aid Society

Justice is Essential

New York continues to show its resilience. We thrive thanks to our support of one another and our community of donors. When you support the work of The Legal Aid Society you are making a commitment to your fellow New Yorkers. Join us in giving the gift of equal justice to everyone in need.

What Your Gift Will Do

The Legal Aid Society is more than a law firm for those in need of representation. It is an indispensable component of the legal, social, and economic fabric of New York City — passionately advocating for individuals and families across a variety of civil, criminal defense, and juvenile rights matters. By supporting the work of Legal Aid, you help us:

  • Retrieve lost wages for front line workers.
  • Secure life-saving financial assistance for a person with disabilities.
  • Protect the rights of a TGNCNBI New Yorker who has experienced discrimination.
  • Secure basic access to medical care for someone in jail.
  • Connect a tenant with the rent relief they are entitled to.
