The 11th Annual New Leadership Program Winter Benefit was a resounding success. Nearly 200 guests gathered at The Bowery Hotel to listen to Chief Attorney of Legal Aid’s Civil Practice, Adriene Holder, discuss the importance of Legal Aid’s work for all New Yorkers now more than ever.

Thanks to the support of event sponsors and guests, this year’s event was the most successful yet, raising nearly $75,000 to support Legal Aid’s unwavering commitment to closing the access to justice gap in New York City.

The New Leadership Program (NLP) engages a dynamic group of accomplished young professionals from across the city who support The Legal Aid Society’s mission through advocacy, volunteer work, and fundraising. The Winter Benefit is the largest fundraising event of the NLP calendar year. Each year proceeds from the Benefit support The Legal Aid Society’s under-resourced units and projects, supporting their critical work by providing free legal services and tools to low-income children and adults.
