Our client, a national of Pakistan who has lived in the United States since 1995, was detained by ICE at his job in March 2018 and remains detained. He is married and financially supports his wife who lives in Pakistan. Our client has an approved Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker from before 2001. However, his Application for Lawful Permanent Status was denied in 2011 because it was based on the approved Alien Worker Petition. His current employer, with whom he has a good relationship, is willing and able to sponsor him for another Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker so that he is able to adjust his status.

The Legal Aid Society is seeking pro bono assistance to help with the filing of the labor certification and the I-140 Immigrant Petition with USCIS.
