Legal Aid attorneys condemned the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) this week over repeated instances in which tenant repair tickets were simply closed without any actual repairs being completed, as reported by PIX 11 News.
The Legal Aid Society is representing dozens of tenants whose problems are simply being ignored in what their attorneys call a chronic, systemic problem at the troubled city agency.
“A work ticket is supposed to generate other tickets to resolve underlying issues, unfortunately it’s just not happening,” said Sara Bernstein, an attorney from The Legal Aid Society.
