Chief Development Officer

Caroline (she/her) brings twenty years’ experience in managing fundraising initiatives at leading humanitarian, education, health care, and advocacy organizations to her role as Chief Development Officer at The Legal Aid Society. She joined Legal Aid as the Development Operations Director in 2022, focusing on increasing and diversifying the organization’s revenue from private philanthropy.

She previously served as the National Director of Principal and Major Gifts at Planned Parenthood Federation of America. During her eight-year tenure, the team successfully completed a $100M campaign as part of the organization’s centennial celebration. Prior to fundraising for reproductive rights, she worked at the American Red Cross as part of a team focused on increasing donations from individuals outside of times of disasters. Previously, she spent four years at the U.S. Fund for UNICEF as part of the fundraising team responding to humanitarian crises around the world.

Caroline has a B.S. from University College London and an M.A. in History from the School of Slavonic and Eastern European Studies.
