Roosevelt v. Walgreens

The Legal Aid Society brought this class action lawsuit on behalf of retail drugstore workers who were required to work substantial periods of time “off the clock,” before and after their scheduled shifts, without recording all the time these workers worked, including time that they worked in excess of 40 hours per work week. The lawsuit challenged the employer’s prohibition on workers from reporting all of their hours worked and the pattern and practice utilized to shave time from the workers’ time records. The matter was resolved pursuant to a favorable settlement to Plaintiffs.
