On Thursday, May 7, The Legal Aid Society community came together to celebrate the organization’s 150 years of dedication to justice for all New Yorkers at the 49th Annual Servant of Justice Awards. As part of that anniversary celebration, we were thrilled to re-honor all our past Servant of Justice Award honorees.
This year’s event asked our attendees to reimagine justice: to consider what it would take for us to create a New York where justice is expected, not exceptional, and where every person has the resources, protection, and dignity they deserve. Thanks to our generous supporters, this year’s event raised over $2.75 million. Special thanks to our 150th Anniversary 2026 Servant of Justice Former Honoree Co-Chairs and Host Committee, who helped make the event so successful. We are deeply thankful to all those who make this event possible, especially our committed law firm, corporate, and foundation partners, and our staff, whose tireless dedication to those we serve continues to be an inspiration.
