6th Annual NLP Winter Benefit

On Thursday, January 24, young professionals from the New York City legal and business communities joined Legal Aid Society staff, leadership and friends at The Flatiron Room the New Leadership Program’s 6th Annual NLP Winter Benefit Concert. The New Leadership Program is a dynamic group of accomplished young professionals from across the city who support The Legal Aid Society’s mission through advocacy, volunteer work, and fundraising.

This year’s event featured remarks from Adriene Holder, Attorney-in-Charge of the Civil Practice, who spoke about the work of Legal Aid Society staff, highlighting the historic housing reforms secured last year that are positively impacting the lives of thousands of tenants across the city. Ms. Holder lauded the commitment of young professional volunteers at The Legal Aid Society, recognizing their commitment to giving back to those who need it most and always asking “What is it we can do to help?”

Musical entertainment was provided by Grammy nominee, Tracy Bonham.

Event proceeds support The Legal Society’s Civil Practice and its critical work providing free legal services and tools to more than 135,000 low income children and adults annually. Tickets purchased will help struggling New Yorkers break free from poverty and rebuild their lives.

The 6th Annual NLP Winter Benefit was graciously sponsored by Charles River Associates; Cooley LLP; Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP; Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP; Kirkland & Ellis LLP; KLM Equities; Mayer Brown LLP; Morgan Stanley & Co.; Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP; and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.
