The Legal Aid Society was named as one of City & State’s Weekly Winners last week after prevailing in court to compel the Cuomo Administration to open up COVID-19 vaccine access to all New Yorkers incarcerated in jails and prisons statewide.

“A judge ruled on Tuesday that the state must offer the jab to prisoners after ‘irrationally’ distinguishing between them and ‘people living in every other type of adult congregate facility,’” the article notes.
