On Tuesday December 10th, volunteers from Aetna Inc. joined members of The Legal Aid Society’s Manhattan social work team to create care packages for New Yorkers in need. Over the course of the morning, volunteers filled over 1,000 care packages with toiletry items and legal/social resource materials. These packages will be distributed by Legal Aid Society social workers who work with attorneys as they provide critical legal defense in Manhattan criminal court and in post release matters.

Each year, The Legal Aid Society partners with some of the most prominent and prestigious law firms and corporate institutions New York City, who generously contribute their time, expertise, and financial support to ensure that all New Yorkers have access to justice.
