LTE: We Need to Protect Rent Stabilization Laws

In a letter to the editor published in the New York Daily News, Adriene Holder, Attorney-in-Charge of our Civil Practice, explains why the new rent stabilization laws provide critical housing protections for our clients and all low-income tenants in New York City. She condemns the recent efforts of greedy landlords and Joe Martin and Joseph Strasburg to derail the progress in the housing justice movement and the historic passing of the new rent laws.

“The rent stabilization laws have served as a lifeline for an endless number of New Yorkers by living up to their promise of preventing homelessness and providing people with the critical stability they need to play a role in the local economy and to contribute in their communities,” said Holder.
