Op-Ed: Albany Must Build on Housing Reform by Enacting Additional Protections

Judith Goldiner, Attorney-in-Charge, and Ellen Davidson, Staff Attorney with the Civil Law Reform Unit at The Legal Aid Society penned a joint oped in the New York Daily News urging Albany to build on the successes of recently enacted housing reforms by passing new measures to benefit tenants.

“After only seven months, the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019 has already made a difference for thousands of New Yorkers. Eviction filings are plunging across the boroughs,” they write in part.
