Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Here is the important information New Yorkers need to know to make their voices heard.
Individuals detained on Rikers Island should request a ballot by going to the law library or asking any programs person. They can also register online through their tablets.
The Vote NYC Jails Coalition will be registering people to vote on Rikers Island on the following dates before the general election deadline.

The Voting Rights Restoration Act became law in May of 2021 and restored the right to vote for New Yorkers immediately upon release from a felony sentence. If you are not serving a sentence of imprisonment, you can register to vote.

Visit your regular polling site on November 5th, 2020 between 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. As long as you are in line by 9 p.m. you are guaranteed to vote.
