At the 44th Annual Servant of Justice Awards, The Legal Aid Society recognized the amazing work of our staff, the resilience of the people we represent and this year’s honoree, Roger W. Ferguson, Jr.

Hosted by MSNBC’s Ali Velshi, this year’s virtual event featured stories and conversations that spoke to the impact of our work as “legal first responders” during this past year where COVID-19 and racism plagued our nation and city. We were joined by advocates and partners in this work, including Wes Moore, CEO of the Robin Hood Foundation; Dr. Yusef Salaam, poet, advocate and a member of the Exonerated Five; and hundreds of friends and supporters whose generosity and partnership make our work possible.
