Have You Received a Marshal’s Notice?

If you have received an eviction notice from a marshal, you are at risk of having your locks changed and your belongings removed.

Take these steps immediately upon receiving a Marshal's notice.

Do not wait. Go to the housing court in your borough right away to file an order to show cause to stop the marshal from changing your locks.
If you are already working with Legal Aid, contact us immediately.
If you are in need of legal assistance, go to the legal services office in your borough.
