Major Victories for Children Across the City

In Alexander A. v. Novello, a federal class action, Juvenile Rights Practice staff obtained a settlement ensuring that eligible children will be placed in a Residential Treatment Facility with reasonable promptness as required by the Medicaid Act. Nicholson v. Williams was another landmark case in which Juvenile Rights staff represented children who had been removed from their mothers solely on the ground that their mothers were victims of domestic violence.
