Dawne Mitchell Elected to the Board of National Association of Counsel for Children

Congratulations to Dawne Mitchell, Attorney-in-Charge of the Juvenile Rights Practice at the Legal Aid Society, on her election to the Board of Directors of National Association of Counsel for Children.

NACC’s mission is to advance the rights, well-being, and opportunities of children and families impacted by the child welfare system through high-quality legal representation.

“NACC is founded on the commitment of advancing the rights of children by ensuring they have the right to effective assistance of counsel and my career has centered on this principle,” said Mitchell. “As such, I embrace and share the vision and mission of the organization. I hope to partner with NACC to fulfill the organization’s pledge for growth, diversity and leadership in the field as well as the advance learning, cultural humility and excellence among Attorneys for Children through training and development, policy, programs and resources.”
