Susan Horwitz, Supervising Attorney of the Education Law Project at The Legal Aid Society, was recently named to City & State’s 2021 Education Power 100 for her efforts working to secure homeless families access to reliable internet at area shelters.

Legal Aid and Milbank LLP filed a lawsuit in November against the City for its failure to provide families in shelter access to reliable internet to assist with virtual learning. That lawsuit is currently pending before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
