Presented by The Legal Aid Society and hosted by St. Francis College, this day-long training informed advocates, defenders and members of the private bar on the momentous changes to New York criminal procedure that will take effect in January. It featured the advocates who were instrumental in passing the reforms, including those who helped draft the statutory language.

The Legal Aid Society has been certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education. This transitional program has been approved for new lawyers and experienced lawyers. The Legal Aid Society provides tuition assistance to attorneys showing hardship. 6.5 professional practice credits will be awarded to those who attend the entire program.
