Martin Callagy, former Justice of the Domestic Relations Court of the City of New York was named The Legal Aid Society’s Attorney-in-Chief. By this time, the Criminal Branch handled 7,500 cases annually. The organization created a Youth Counseling Bureau for system-involved juveniles.
