Legislative Reform Leads to Re-Sentencing Representation

After the recent reform of the Rockefeller Drug Laws, the Criminal Practice—along with the assistance of major law firms and pro bono attorneys—played a major role representing clients who became eligible for re-sentencing.

We phased out the special unit handling capital punishment cases after a portion of the State’s death penalty was struck down. Prisoners’ Rights staff litigated a major class action challenging the pattern of correction staff brutality in the City’s jail system.
